As the visionary behind Own Literacy, she brings an extensive background in ELA tutoring, a deep dedication to student growth, and a passion for educational innovation.

Louwi believes that education should be as personalized as each student's dreams and aspirations, a principle that has made Own Literacy a haven for fostering passion, developing strategic plans, and implementing effective practices to help every student reach their fullest potential. Louwi holds a BA in English and certifications in secondary English Language Arts, Leadership, TESOL, and TEFL. Her academic achievements also include a Masters in Information Technology (MIT) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). With years of experience as a college adjunct instructor, an online English Language Arts and Reading teacher and tutor, and an educational technology coach, Louwi's diverse background underscores her holistic approach to education.
